Time for Nature
An Earth Month Special
April is Earth Month, a time for environmental stewards from around the world to join together to protect our resources, spread awareness of threats to the natural world, replant, and rehabilitate ecosystems. It is also a time to change our lifestyles to lesson our personal impact to the global environment.
How can you become involved? Here are some ideas for this year’s greenest month:
Volunteer Projects. Join a local conservation or rehabilitation project and have fun working for Earth with others. You may make new friends and acquaintances, too!
Conservation Projects. Clean up a beach, park, trail, or other natural area. Go on an invasive species hunt and remove plants that don’t belong.
Solo Activities. Take on Earth Day projects on your own for those who would rather work alone.
Habitat Restoration. Plant a tree, pollinating flowers, a birdhouse, or butterfly garden.
Expand you Education. Learn more about what you can do to protect our natural resources and conserve our planet.
Spread Awareness. Display an Earth Day sign, share on social media, or strike up a nature-preservation conversation.
Provide Support. Donate needed items, funds, or time to an environmental organization.
Make sure this Earth Month matters! We encourage everyone to take part in environmental stewardship projects all month long, but even a little bit of support is better than none.
Happy Earth Month!
Everything Environmental, all the time. From your home, gym, office, and workplace habitats to the interior of your car, your neighborhood, your technological world, and the great outdoors.
